We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated Transportation Operations & Project Management Executive to join our Global Transportation team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working in a fast-paced logistics environment, managing transportation operations, improving processes, and collaborating with global stakeholders.

Job Summary

The Transportation Operations & Project Management Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day transportation operations, coordinating logistics projects, monitoring shipment execution, managing carrier relationships, and driving continuous process improvements across global transportation networks.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, project management skills, vendor coordination experience, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Operations

• Manage day-to-day transportation operations across domestic and international shipments.
• Monitor shipment movement through proactive track-and-trace activities and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, freight partners, and logistics service providers to resolve operational issues.
• Work closely with internal operations teams and command centers to address transportation challenges and minimize service disruptions.
• Ensure adherence to transportation service levels and customer requirements.

Project Management

• Lead transportation and logistics improvement projects from planning through execution.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and implementation schedules.
• Coordinate with vendor account managers and project teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and cost performance.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to key stakeholders.

Vendor & Carrier Management

• Build strong relationships with transportation carriers, logistics partners, and service providers.
• Monitor carrier performance against agreed service levels and operational KPIs.
• Resolve ongoing transportation and delivery challenges through proactive vendor engagement.
• Identify opportunities for transportation optimization, consolidation, and cost reduction.

Process Improvement & Documentation

• Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and transportation processes.
• Ensure operational documentation accurately reflects customer requirements and logistics workflows.
• Identify process improvement opportunities using operational performance data and implement corrective actions.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Analyze transportation performance metrics and identify operational improvement opportunities.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for customers, vendors, and internal leadership.
• Monitor key logistics KPIs including:
• On-Time Delivery (OTD)
• Carrier Performance
• Transit Time
• Cost Optimization
• Shipment Visibility
• Service Quality
• Present performance reviews and recommendations to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal teams including Warehousing, Transportation, Customer Service, Operations, and Project Management.
• Lead project meetings and cross-functional discussions with customers, vendors, and logistics partners.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining strong communication throughout shipment lifecycles.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain Operations.
• At least 1 year of Warehousing experience.
• Experience leading logistics or transportation improvement projects.
• Hands-on experience in continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to multimodal transportation including:
• Air Freight
• Ocean Freight
• Road Transportation
• Dedicated / White Glove Deliveries
• Experience working with international import and export operations is preferred.
• Prior experience in team leadership or people management will be an advantage.
