Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager – Precision Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, procurement, supplier coordination, and inventory control for CNC machining projects. The role requires close collaboration with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure material availability, cost optimization, and on-time project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Forecast material requirements based on production plans and customer orders.
• Analyze production pipelines and demand patterns to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Align supply plans with project schedules and manufacturing requirements.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

Inventory Management

• Manage inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock.
• Optimize inventory to balance availability and working capital requirements.
• Monitor inventory performance and implement improvements to reduce shortages and excess stock.

Production & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure supply chain plans align with project timelines and technical specifications.
• Support smooth production execution through effective material planning and coordination.

Supply Chain Performance & Risk Management

• Monitor and analyze key supply chain performance metrics.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact production schedules.
• Develop contingency plans to address supply disruptions and operational challenges.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive process improvements across procurement, planning, and inventory management functions.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Demand Planning, or Inventory Management.
• Experience in Manufacturing or Precision Engineering environments is preferred.
• Exposure to CNC Machining, Aerospace, Healthcare, Electronics, or Semiconductor industries will be an advantage.
