About the Role

Nextpower is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager – After Market to lead end-to-end after-market supply chain operations. The successful candidate will oversee demand planning, inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics coordination, warranty support, and service parts availability to ensure exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Service Sales, Asset Management, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Quality, Product Management, Finance, and Regional Supply Chain teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational expertise, analytical capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset to support business growth and scalable after-market operations.


Key Responsibilities

After Market Supply Chain Management

  • Manage the complete after-market supply chain process from demand intake through allocation, order fulfillment, shipment tracking, and delivery confirmation.
  • Monitor after-market and warranty orders to ensure timely execution and adherence to service-level commitments.
  • Maintain visibility of open orders, inventory availability, supplier constraints, logistics risks, and order backlogs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and remove execution bottlenecks.
  • Escalate critical supply chain issues with clear recommendations, business impact assessments, and resolution plans.

Demand Planning & Inventory Management

  • Support after-market demand planning using historical consumption, installed base data, warranty demand, customer forecasts, and service requirements.
  • Maintain rolling demand forecasts for critical spare parts and service components.
  • Differentiate confirmed demand from forecasted demand to optimize inventory investment.
  • Monitor inventory performance, including stock availability, inventory turns, stock coverage, slow-moving inventory, excess inventory, and obsolete stock.
  • Recommend replenishment, inventory transfers, rebalancing, stock optimization, and corrective actions to minimize inventory risks.
  • Support inventory policy development, including safety stock, reorder points, make-to-stock (MTS), make-to-order (MTO), and stocking strategies.

Order Fulfillment & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely picking, packing, shipping, and delivery of after-market and warranty orders.
  • Monitor shipment progress and provide visibility into transportation status, freight movement, last-mile delivery, and delivery confirmations.
  • Identify and resolve fulfillment challenges related to inventory allocation, warehouse operations, transportation, supplier performance, customer readiness, and system constraints.
  • Partner with logistics teams to improve fulfillment lead times, shipment reliability, and transportation efficiency.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Prepare regular operational reviews covering service performance, order backlog, aging orders, inventory health, operational risks, and action plans.
  • Monitor and report key supply chain performance indicators, including:

  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Develop reports and dashboards using ERP systems, Power BI, Excel, or equivalent business intelligence tools.
  • Implement interim reporting controls where system capabilities require enhancement.

Warranty & Reverse Logistics

  • Coordinate warranty returns, Return Material Authorization (RMA), Vendor Return Authorization (VRA), and reverse logistics activities.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between after-market planning, warehouse operations, procurement, finance, logistics, and service teams.
  • Track outstanding warranty cases and drive timely resolution.
  • Support inspection, refurbishment, repacking, vendor returns, storage decisions, and inventory disposition activities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, inventory management, fulfillment processes, logistics execution, and operational efficiency.
  • Support standardization of after-market supply chain processes across multiple regions.
  • Contribute to supply chain readiness for new product launches and expanding service operations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, After Market Operations, Service Parts Management, Logistics, Inventory Planning, Warranty Fulfillment, or Operations.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end order fulfillment, inventory planning, logistics coordination, and cross-functional supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, service levels, lead times, and warehouse operations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), planning applications, and reporting tools such as NetSuite, Anaplan, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience in renewable energy, industrial equipment, manufacturing, project-based supply chains, warranty operations, or spare parts management is highly preferred.
