Regional Supply Chain and Planning Manager

About the Opportunity

Metso, a global leader in sustainable technologies for the mining, aggregates, and metals industries, is seeking an experienced Regional Supply Chain & Planning Manager to join its newly established Regional Supply Chain & Planning team.

This strategic role will lead short- to mid-term supply planning, ensuring demand and capacity alignment while partnering closely with Sales, Operations, and Business leaders. The successful candidate will drive planning excellence, improve forecast accuracy, optimize supply chain performance, and support business growth through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Demand Alignment

• Drive short- to mid-term planning (0–6 months) to balance demand and supply.
• Improve forecast accuracy and control forecast bias.
• Ensure optimal capacity allocation while balancing customer service, inventory, and cost objectives.
• Validate short-term demand feasibility against production, procurement, and logistics capabilities.

Capacity & Inventory Management

• Identify capacity constraints, supply gaps, and inventory opportunities.
• Recommend trade-offs and mitigation strategies to optimize service levels.
• Execute inventory reallocations, expediting activities, and alternate sourcing plans when required.
• Support lead-time reduction initiatives and inventory optimization.

Supply Risk Management

• Proactively identify risks related to capacity shortages, supply delays, and stock-outs.
• Develop contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions.
• Escalate critical supply constraints and recommend corrective actions.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary supply chain partner for Sales, Business, and Operations teams.
• Align commercial priorities with supply capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and customer service.

Performance Management & Reporting

• Establish and monitor key Supply Chain KPIs, including:
• Forecast Accuracy
• Forecast Bias
• On-Time Delivery (OTD)
• Supply Chain Performance
• Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership.
• Highlight achievements, risks, and improvement opportunities through data-driven reporting.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive supply chain process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and operational performance.
• Support implementation of best practices across planning and execution processes.
• Promote collaboration and continuous improvement across regional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, Planning, Logistics, or Operations Leadership.
• Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes is an advantage.
