About the Role

Carrier is seeking an experienced Manager – Procurement to lead procurement operations and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes, leading supplier selection and negotiation activities, ensuring cost optimization, and maintaining high standards of quality and supply reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Operations

• Lead the execution of procurement strategies, operational plans, and sourcing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the complete procurement lifecycle, including Request for Proposal (RFP) management, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, governance standards, and procurement best practices.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality, service levels, and supply continuity.

Supplier & Vendor Management

• Develop and implement effective supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management programs.
• Build long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers to improve value, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve issues related to shortages, delayed deliveries, and service quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve responsiveness, reliability, and overall procurement performance.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Lead commercial negotiations involving pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual agreements.
• Review market pricing trends and manufacturing process changes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate Requests for Proposal (RFPs), bid submissions, and supplier quotations.
• Monitor contract performance, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and recommend amendments when necessary.
• Review and authorize purchase orders while ensuring procurement activities remain within approved budgets.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and deliver effective sourcing solutions.
• Resolve procurement-related issues and provide timely support to internal customers.
• Lead and mentor procurement team members, setting performance objectives and supporting professional development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree or professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience with a bachelor's degree.

OR

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a related field.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement operations, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience leading procurement projects, managing RFPs, and overseeing contract administration.
