Job Summary

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement Lead to manage end-to-end procurement operations for industrial automation projects. The role is responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, commercial negotiations, procurement planning, purchase order management, logistics coordination, and ensuring the timely availability of materials while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Projects, Sales, Stores, and Accounts teams to support project execution through efficient procurement of industrial automation, electrical, instrumentation, and control system components.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Procurement

• Manage the complete procurement lifecycle from material requisitions to final delivery.
• Review technical specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and project requirements.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate supplier quotations on commercial and technical parameters.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
• Track procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations.
• Resolve supplier-related issues involving quality, delivery, and commercial matters.

Project Procurement

• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Sales, Stores, and Finance teams.
• Align procurement activities with project schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Monitor material availability and proactively mitigate supply shortages.

Cost Optimization

• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct market research and supplier price benchmarking.
• Support annual procurement planning and sourcing strategies.

Inventory & Logistics

• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely inward movement of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock availability.
• Minimize excess inventory and material obsolescence.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain procurement documentation including RFQs, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records.
• Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies.
• Support internal and external audits through accurate documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on emerging industrial automation technologies and supplier ecosystems.
• Continuously improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
• Quickly learn new products and technologies to support business requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Or an equivalent engineering discipline.

Experience

• 12–15 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Experience in Industrial Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process Automation, System Integration, or Engineering Solutions industries.
• Proven expertise in sourcing automation, electrical, and instrumentation products.
• Strong experience in vendor development, commercial negotiations, and project procurement.
