About the Role

SGT Hospital & Medical College is expanding its Procurement Team and is looking for experienced professionals with expertise in pharmaceutical and medical consumables procurement. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing the procurement of medicines, medical consumables, and healthcare products while ensuring uninterrupted supply, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and effective vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, and other healthcare products.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and rate contracts to achieve cost-effective procurement.
• Coordinate inventory planning to ensure optimum stock levels and uninterrupted availability of materials.
• Work closely with pharmacy, stores, clinical departments, and other stakeholders to understand procurement requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and hospital procurement policies.
• Support cost-control initiatives through strategic sourcing and effective contract management.

Required Qualifications

• D. Pharma or B. Pharma (Mandatory).

Experience

Senior Executive – Pharma & Medical Consumables Procurement

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical procurement.

Assistant Manager – Pharma & Medical Consumables Procurement

• More than 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical procurement.

Preferred Industry Experience: Hospitals, Medical Colleges, Healthcare Institutions, or Pharmaceutical Procurement.

Desired Skills

• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement processes and healthcare supply chain operations.
• Experience with ERP/SAP systems will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
