Operational Purchaser – Direct & Indirect Spend

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Operational Purchaser for a leading global organization in the Specialty Chemicals industry. This position plays a key role in managing the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process while collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, warehouses, and manufacturing sites to ensure smooth procurement operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong procurement expertise, experience working with ERP systems, and the ability to manage both direct and indirect purchasing activities in a fast-paced, global business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, including creation, tracking, and management of purchase orders.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and established procurement procedures.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services.
• Monitor supplier performance, follow up on order acknowledgements, and resolve delivery or service-related issues.
• Support tactical sourcing activities aligned with global procurement strategies.
• Assist in supplier negotiations and commercial discussions when required.
• Maintain accurate procurement master data and purchasing records.
• Track procurement performance metrics and ensure audit compliance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
• Purchase order processing efficiency and procurement data accuracy.
• Supplier performance and relationship management.
• Timely resolution of supplier and procurement-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a global and cross-functional environment.

• Experience managing both direct and indirect procurement categories.
• Knowledge of supplier performance management and procurement compliance.
• Ability to work under deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
