About the Role

TaskUs is seeking an experienced Director – Global Procurement to lead global category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement operations. Reporting to the Senior Director – Global Procurement, this leadership role will be responsible for developing global category strategies, driving enterprise-wide cost optimization, leading high-value sourcing initiatives, and managing a global procurement team.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive procurement leadership experience, strong commercial negotiation skills, advanced analytical capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering measurable savings through strategic sourcing and category management.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Develop and implement global category management strategies across key spend areas, including Information Technology (IT), Telecommunications, Facilities, and Corporate Services.
  • Drive enterprise-wide cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality and supplier performance.
  • Analyze organizational spend, market intelligence, supplier capabilities, and industry benchmarks to identify savings opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Evaluate alternative sourcing models, purchasing cooperatives, and supplier strategies to maximize commercial value.
  • Lead complex sourcing initiatives involving Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP).

Procurement Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Procurement Managers and Procurement Partners.
  • Establish performance objectives, monitor key procurement metrics, and drive accountability across the procurement function.
  • Coach team members on advanced sourcing methodologies, commercial negotiations, contract management, and cost analysis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of Purchase Orders (POs), sourcing activities, and procurement documentation in compliance with organizational policies.

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Lead negotiations for strategic supplier agreements, focusing on pricing, payment terms, service levels, commercial risk, and long-term value creation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure quality, performance, and business continuity.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives across managed categories.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with IT, Facilities, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Support contract renewals, sourcing events, and procurement planning for expiring agreements.
  • Streamline procurement processes and enhance collaboration across business functions.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strengthen procurement governance, internal controls, and sourcing compliance across all categories.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency, transparency, and operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Corporate Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management.
  • Proven leadership experience managing global procurement teams and enterprise sourcing programs.
  • Demonstrated success in developing global category strategies that have delivered measurable and sustainable cost savings.
  • Extensive experience managing complex RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes across multiple supplier categories.
  • Strong background in supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement governance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Procurement leadership experience within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Technology, IT Services, or Global Professional Services industries.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP or other enterprise procurement and sourcing platforms.
  • Experience managing global supplier portfolios and multinational procurement operations.
