About the Role

Maersk Procurement is seeking a motivated and experienced Category Buyer – Procure-to-Pay (R2P) to join its procurement team in Navi Mumbai. This role is ideal for procurement professionals with hands-on experience in end-to-end procurement operations, supplier coordination, and ERP-based procurement processes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient procurement operations, maintaining compliance, and supporting seamless purchasing activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P/R2P) procurement operations.
• Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely order confirmation and delivery.
• Execute procurement transactions using ERP systems while maintaining data accuracy.
• Monitor purchase orders, goods receipts (GRNs), invoices, and payment-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and internal controls.
• Resolve procurement and supplier-related issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain procurement records and support reporting requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance procurement efficiency and supplier performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, contracting, or Procure-to-Pay (P2P/R2P) operations.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and purchasing best practices.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or IFS.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in procurement operations within a large corporate or multinational environment.
• Knowledge of procurement compliance, invoice processing, and supplier performance management.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting tools.
