About the Role

Bharat FIH is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Asset Management to oversee asset lifecycle management across its manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing asset records, monitoring asset movement and utilization, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting asset-related audits and reporting.

This role requires close collaboration with Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, and other business functions to ensure effective asset governance, optimize asset utilization, and support cost-control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Management

• Manage the complete lifecycle of organizational assets, including acquisition, allocation, tracking, maintenance, transfer, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset registers and asset management records.
• Monitor asset movements and ensure proper documentation throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Optimize asset utilization across manufacturing facilities to improve operational efficiency.

Inventory & Asset Control

• Track and monitor fixed assets to ensure accurate physical verification and inventory control.
• Conduct periodic asset audits, reconciliations, and verification exercises.
• Investigate discrepancies in asset records and implement corrective actions.
• Support asset tagging, identification, and traceability initiatives.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with internal asset management policies, financial controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
• Ensure adherence to accounting requirements related to asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposal.

Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and management information covering asset utilization, movements, depreciation, and inventory status.
• Analyze asset data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational improvements.
• Develop performance metrics that support informed decision-making by leadership.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, and other departments to ensure effective asset allocation and utilization.
• Support procurement and project teams in planning and commissioning new assets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve asset-related operational issues.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes, controls, and reporting systems.
• Support automation initiatives and implementation of best practices for asset tracking and lifecycle management.
• Contribute to risk management and cost-control initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications related to Asset Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or ERP systems will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Proven experience in Asset Management, Inventory Control, Fixed Asset Administration, or Manufacturing Operations.
• Experience working in electronics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, automotive, or similar sectors is preferred.
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, inventory control, compliance, and audit processes.
• Knowledge of financial concepts related to asset capitalization, depreciation, and asset accounting.
